Weddings with Vintage Trucks

Adding vintage details to your wedding day is a hot trend this season and we are especially loving the addition of vintage trucks.  Not only do these old trucks add a rustic appeal to outdoor weddings, they also make perfect backdrops for colorful photos!

The next time you see a vintage truck cruising down the highway, stop them and offer a wedding invite in exchange for use of the truck (that's what the couple photographed with the blue Willie did).

Ideas: DIY Tables Numbers

Here's a simple and easy DIY item from a recent wedding we are featuring in our January issue.  The couple placed locally grown flowers, purchased at the farmer's market, in wooden containers with painted wooden numbers to match the color scheme.

Idea: Bride & Groom Trivia

Here's a fun game to incorporate into your reception.  Create a list of questions about yourselves and place them in a frame on each of your guest tables.  During dinner, have your DJ collect each tables' best guesses.  The table with the highest number of correct answers wins a prize.

Inspiration: Flower Girl Fairies

Flower Girls or Fairy Princesses….

The fairy wings, princess crowns and decorated flip flops are way too cute!  I know my nieces would much rather be a Fairy Princess for the day than a Flower girl.

Idea: Creative Table Numbers

I love this idea from a couple we are featuring in our January issue.  Instead of traditional table numbers, they did months of the year. Since their beloved dogs could not join them for the day, they took photos of them dressed in various themed costumes, and had a talented friend Photoshop different backgrounds into the pictures that coordinated with each month.

Idea: Fall leaves

Skip the traditional rose petals .... have your flower girls line your ceremony aisle with fall colored leaves. This cute basket contains aspen leaves collected by the wedding party the day before the wedding.  If you are planning a fall wedding next year or a red, orange or yellow-inspired palette get out now and start collecting some gorgeous leaves!

Inspiration: Flowers & Pears

Judi Folga and her amazing team at Willowcreek Floral in Ridgway, Colorado sent us these images from one of their Telluride weddings last month.  LOVE the green palette!

Judi designed three different center pieces for the reception.  Four were an array of all sizes of cy vases with pillar candles in ivory stages on aspen rounds.  Four were tall cy vase with curly willow, white hydrangea and the last four were white hydrangea, green hydrangea, green cy orchids, green trachelium, green hy berry, green amaranthus, green kermit, green fuji and white/ivory roses.

The Brides Bouquet contained white hydrangea, green cy orchid, white/ivory roses, green anthurium, ivory lizzy and white freesia. 

The Bridesmaids Bouquets contained green fuji, kermit, white/ivory roses and white freesia.
